The Request Line
If the ceremony is held at a place of worship, the phrase ”request the honour of your presence“ is used, for an informal ceremony the phrase ”request the pleasure of your company“ is used. For an Informal Ceremony the phrase “would be delighted by your presence” is used.
The Bride And Groom
Traditionally the bride is listed first and if she shares a lastname with her parents, only the first and middle names are included. The groom is identified with title (Mr./Dr./etc.), First, Middle and Last. A more modern interpretation often includes just the first and last names of both parties.
If the ceremony is at a well-known location the street address does not need to be included. The zip code never needs to be included on the wedding invitation.
Less Traditional Wording Options
“Bride First Name And Groom First Name Invite you to share in the joy of their marriage…”
“You’re invited to the marriage of Bride First Middle Last and Groom First Middle Last. We hope you will join us and celebrate our union…”
“Together with their families Bride First Name and Groom First Name invite you to their wedding celebration…”
These wooden laser cut table numbers are a lovely addition to a rustic style wedding. For a modern take we have added some Japanese paper to the back which adds colour and texture to the design.
